MCIAA, through its GAD Focal Point System, held its “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event yesterday, December 11, bringing together employees, airport stakeholders, partners, and advocates in a unified stand for a Violence Against Women (VAW)-free community.

Participants marched through Terminals 1 and 2 wearing orange and carrying messages of empowerment, raising awareness and fostering empathy in the campaign against VAW.

Alongside the walk, the GAD team conducted an Information Caravan across the MCIA terminals, distributing IEC materials and engaging passengers and the public on the importance of prevention and collective responsibility.

The activity concluded at the Terminal 2 Departure Area with the awarding of the top three winners of the EIC Digital Poster-Making Contest.

MCIAA remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting gender equality, safety, and respect throughout the airport community.
