Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu — In preparation for the anticipated surge of passengers during the Christmas season, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) has officially activated Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Pasko 2025 starting December 20, 2025 to January 04, 2026 ensuring safe, orderly, and passenger-friendly airport operations throughout the holiday period.
In response to DOTr’s memorandum last November 28, 2025, Oplan Biyaheng Ayos: Pasko 2025, MCIAA is committed to delivering efficient service, heightened security, and seamless coordination among airport stakeholders during one of the busiest travel seasons of the year.
The program integrates enhanced terminal operations, strengthened security measures, increased personnel deployment, and close inter-agency collaboration to address the needs of both domestic and international travelers.
“As families reunite and travelers choose Cebu as their holiday destination, MCIAA remains fully prepared to provide a safe, smooth, and pleasant airport experience,” said MCIAA General Manager and CEO Julius G. Neri, Jr., following his inspection of Oplan Help Desks at MCIA Terminal 1.
GM Neri added that Oplan Biyaheng Ayos reflects MCIA’s proactive approach to managing peak-season demand while upholding the highest standards of safety and service.
Key components of the holiday operations plan include intensified monitoring of terminal activities, standby medical and emergency response teams, traffic and transport coordination, and passenger assistance desks to promptly address concerns and inquiries. Airline partners, government agencies, concessionaires, and service providers are likewise on full alert to ensure uninterrupted and efficient airport services.
MCIAA also encourages passengers to plan ahead, arrive early for their flights, comply with security and safety protocols, and remain vigilant against prohibited items to help maintain smooth terminal operations.
