Home is where the welcome begins.

Earlier today, January 15, more than 1,000 passengers from five international flights and one domestic flight were warmly received at Mactan-Cebu International Airport’s Terminals 1 and 2 through the Balik-Cebu Welcome Reception.

Led by Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival, MCIAA General Manager and CEO Julius G. Neri, Jr., Department of Tourism OIC Regional Director Gelena Asis Dimpas, together with our partner, Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation and the Balik Cebu Committee, the program celebrated the arrival of balikbayans and guests just in time for the Sinulog festivities.

Following the warm balikbayan-welcome, MCIAA also sponsored lunch for the Balik-Cebu Committee, DOT, ACAC, and media partners at the Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino Mactan.

Balik Cebu, a program of the Cebu City Tourism Commission, continues to bring the spirit of homecoming alive—welcoming travelers to Cebu with warmth, culture, and the joy of Sinulog.
