The MCIA ASEAN Core Team, led by MCIAA General Manager Mr. Julius G. Neri, Jr., together with Assistant General Manager Atty. Glenn B. Napuli and Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation General Manager Ms. Ricia Vinneli Montejo, welcomed First Lady Liza A. Marcos, alongside members of the National Organizing Council (NOC), for a second round of ocular inspections at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) and Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base.

During the visit, a comprehensive presentation on the Airport Operations Procedures for Heads of State was conducted, highlighting key protocols and coordination mechanisms to ensure smooth and secure arrivals and departures. Updates on the ongoing fabrication and enhancement of the proposed lounges and designated ASEAN areas were also presented, showcasing preparations aimed at providing a refined and welcoming environment for delegates.

This follow-up inspection underscores MCIA’s continued commitment and strengthened coordination efforts to ensure full operational readiness for the upcoming ASEAN Leaders’ Summit in Cebu.
