The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority proudly shares in the achievement of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA), which has become the first airport in the Philippines to join the Asia Pacific and Middle East Regional Operational Safety Committee (ROSC) of Airports Council International (ACI).

MCIA’s membership in the ROSC underscores its commitment to advancing airport operational safety and excellence. Through this platform, the airport will contribute to regional safety initiatives, exchange best practices with leading airports across Asia Pacific and the Middle East, and help shape strategies that strengthen aviation safety standards throughout the region.

Representing MCIA at the ROSC meeting held in Bangkok, Thailand, last May 10–12, 2026, were Mr. Jemar M. Nietes, Manager of the Airport Operations Department, together with Engr. Waya T. Bascon and Ms. Jesefel S. Oyao.

This achievement reflects MCIA’s continued pursuit of world-class airport operations and its dedication to providing a safe, efficient, and seamless travel experience for all.
