After a two-year hiatus brought by the pandemic, the Balik-Cebu Airport Welcome Reception for Balikbayans resumed its celebrations in Terminal 2 of Mactan-Cebu International Airport on January 12, 2023. Balik-Cebu officials, led by Chairperson Teta Baad, and Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama joined the grand welcome of a Rondalla Serenade and Sinulog Dance. Balik Cebu is a program of the Cebu City Tourism Commission that welcomes balikbayans and guests arriving in Cebu to enjoy and celebrate the iconic Sinulog.
