From 27 to 29 February 2024, Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) attended the Routes Asia 2024 conference in Langkawi, Malaysia, headed by MCIAA General Manager and CEO Mr. Julius G. Neri Jr. Joining him in the conference is MCIAA Corporate Planning Division Manager Mr. Gerard B. Montecillo, Accounting Division OIC Atty. Tani M. Angub, Business Development Specialist Mr. Roland Gabby P. Acosta, and Terminal Operations Officer Ms. Karla Marie T. Ponce. Alongside MCIAA representing the Philippines are the Department of Tourism – Philippines (DOT), Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB), Clark International Airport, and GMR Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation (GMCAC).

The event provided a platform for the multiple airlines, airports, tourism authorities, and aviation stakeholders from all over Asia to meet and share their best practices. This coming together ensures the development of future air service developments across Asia Pacific, and most especially in Cebu City, Philippines.
