On November 25, 2024, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) received the prestigious Top Stakeholder Relationship Award during the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) Awards Ceremony at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC). Assistant General Manager Atty. Glenn B. Napuli accepted the award on behalf of General Manager and CEO Julius G. Neri Jr.

The annual GCG Awards Ceremony honors outstanding performance and exemplary governance practices among Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs). The awards are based on the Corporate Governance Scorecard Rating and other governance initiatives.

MCIAA’s recognition underscores its unwavering commitment to excellence and transparency. The Authority achieved a perfect score in the Stakeholder Relationship Section of the Corporate Governance Scorecard for Calendar Years 2021 to 2023, as evaluated by the Governance Commission for GOCCs.

The Corporate Governance Scorecard serves as a key initiative in promoting good corporate governance across the public sector, ensuring GOCCs operate with integrity and prioritize the public’s best interests.
