MCIAA participates in the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (End-VAW)
Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) actively participated in the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (End-VAW) through various initiatives aimed at raising awareness and fostering inclusivity. The campaign kicked off on November 25, 2024, with a talk by GAD Committee Head TWG Ms. Maria Lillibeth G. Antepuesto, followed by a community walk advocating against violence. Interactive activities, including an orange-themed Zumba, seminars on the Safe Spaces Act, and a quiz competition on gender awareness, engaged employees throughout the campaign. The event concluded with the distribution of brochures on Republic Act 9262 to inform stakeholders about gender-based violence, its legal remedies and reporting mechanism.
This campaign demonstrates MCIAA’s steadfast dedication to advancing gender equality and establishing welcoming environments for everyone.
