On 11 March 2025 – A celebration took place at Gate 17, Terminal 2 of Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) as it was officially recognized as the Best Airport in Asia-Pacific in the 5–15 Million Passengers Per Annum category at the 2024 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards.

Leading the celebration were Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) General Manager and CEO, Mr. Julius G. Neri, Jr.; Aboitiz InfraCapital Cebu Airport Corporation (ACAC) CEO, Mr. Athanasios Titonis; MCIAA Terminal Operations Manager, Mr. Jemar M. Nietes; and ACAC Head of Customer Experience, Ms. Ricia Montejo, who proudly marked this momentous achievement.
